Botanical Garden, Malacca

Date: July 2010
Place: Botanical Garden
(formerly known as Hutan Rekreasi Ayer Keroh)
New attraction in town, Buggy Ride! Lots of colorful cutie cars. For journey of half an hour, it was fun, once in a while. Fee was RM10 for adult and RM5 for children.
It can fit 4-5 persons for one car. Various choice!

Front view. Its just the same as driving an auto-transmission car.

The adventure's ride is like a circle of the forest. We peeped on at the another new attraction, Melaa Wonderland, situated behind the forest. Looking cool! Next time yaa!!

Aaaa that was the single sitter. They have the double-sitter too. Fee was RM9 for single and RM18 for double. However, only 13years and above allowed to drive. Actually, we have to hand our IC/lisence to ride the buggy. Precaution I guess!

Universal Studio

Date: July 2010
Place: Universal Studio, Singapore
During our stay at Tune Hotel JB, there is coach services straight to Resort World Sentosa for only RM25 back and forth. Details at http://www.tunehotels.com/our-hotels/danga-bay-johor#tabset-tab-3 for its schedule.
The coach was 5-star (with personal mini-TV which you can play games and watch movies) and the journey took 1.5hours.
And so we arrived at the Sentosa Island. The entrance fee
costed us SGD$72 (for weekend, $64 for weekday) which is RM170
(details at http://www.rwsentosa.com/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore for ticket passes, attractions and operating hours).
How delightful, that it is having July promotion so we are entitled to SGD$10 vouchers per ticket ($5 for food, $5 for souvenirs and you can used more than one voucher for one item), which mean we are only paying $62 for the entrance fee!
The signature globe

We started with Madagascar. However, the river boat adventure is not completed yet so we cam whoring with the Mascot - Alex, Gloria, Melman, Marty! The only attraction was King's Julian Party-Go-Round (similar to merry-go-round carousel) but they are cuter and higher..tralala!

King Juliens and the penguins..the penguins were cute and funny!

Next, we went to Hollywood Boulevard!!! The glamorous Hollywood! There's a lot of Walk of Fame star! The Pantages Theater was amazing and outstanding. I bet it can even beat our own Istana Budaya. The seat was comfortable (I almost fall asleep), the space and walking path wider and they even have reservation seat for the disable.

We watched the Monster Rock shows and here are the cast. Pretty huh? hehe!

Then, New York City!!!! The whole America in here. There were Empire State building, Daily NY newspaper headquarters, and lots of restaurant. The most remembered was Steven Spielberg Studio. They showed us how the filmmaker did his special effect to his well known movies and even demostrated a special show "Hurricane hit NY city". Beware, you might get wet!

Later is the Sci-Fi city. The biggest attraction was the two hilarious roller coasters! One is named Human (red), it is very fast (90km/h) and as tall as 14 storeys building. This is suitable for people who dislike turning upside down and love the fast speed. Imagining Edward Cullen..haha!

The other one is called Cyclone (blue). It will turn, roll, whatever you are seek after! However, it will be open probably next year, so lets go again!

Next, the Ancient Egypt. Picture above is the entrance of the dark scary roller coaster. Called Revenge of the Mummy, it felt like we really debt our blood to them! They cursed you bad, muaahaha..In dark, there were sudden stops, sudden turns, sudden falls, sudden accelerations and even sudden reverse backward moves! Not advisable for those who "lemah semangat". hehe!

Situated beside Egypt, there was Jurasic Park. Ready for the dinosaurs?? One of the attraction was Rapid Adventure. before that, we've been advised to buy the ponchos sold outside the entrance. We were like, come on! how wet you can be right? But we just buy it, in case! haha! We entered and sit in a 9-persons raft and it moved in the circular motion of the river. However, there are current in the river and sudden appeared of dinosaur. the climax was when we were shifted in a dark tunnel, hardly seen anything and all we know and see was that a T-Rex was inches off our head! Then, we've thrown down back to the river and tada...we were soaked!

Then, there was a show called WaterWorld. It was a live water show with lots of stunts, bombs, shot (not advisable for those who bring toddlers, most of them broke into tears, pity them!). Even the seat was divided and colored into three - Blue (Soak area), Green (Splash area) and Red.. maybe (for dry). We sat at Green and still getting wet, not to mention those in Blue, they are kuyuppppp!! Haha..the casts brought the water gun and simply shot wherever they want and whoever they like!

Last, the Far Far Away (Shrek's castle). The castle was magnificient, wish I can live there inside. Hehe :P Anyway, manage to grab Shrek and Fiona (they should let her be the green Fiona, whaha)

There were two shows, Donkey and Shrek 4D! The Donkey was fun and mesmerized, cause there a lady , she's really adorable and sweet tongue! The 4D experience was wayyy better than any I had been to..it was really REAL and alive!

The castle at night, it changed into color but I picked pink. My favorite always.

There was firework show at the Lake on 10PM but unable to catch it because our coach was on 10.30 PM. huhu!!

Overall, it was very good experience. You dont have to travel very far. Stay in MYR, Play in SGD! The food was delicious and price was reasonable, toilet was clean, and they have HALAL certificate.

Definitely will come again!

Danga Bay

Date: July 2010
Place: JB

First try to Tune Hotel, it was satisfying. With RM 35 per room for 2nites (we bought during promotion), definitely a good buy!

Upon arrival, you will be required to pay RM5 for room key deposit. A soft reminder to those who want to save some bucks, bring ur own towel or you might aswell rent it at RM10 + RM5 deposit.

The only additional service you might want to consider is the air conditioner. You can have it at RM15 for 12-hours credit usage (can be used on separate days). But anyway, the room already provided with a 5-blades fan that cool enough for a comfortable night. :)

Other services are TV and hair dryer, which charge by day. However, who needs them when you are outside enjoying the holiday? :P Unless you like to stay whole day in the room. Muehehe!

Hotel from the highway

The lobby, very clean and inviting

During the night, we tried out the dinner at the Danga Bay Cruise. It is a nice place for couples looking for romantic dinner,
or probably for an occasion or perhaps, a wedding!

Check out the details and reservation at

At the jetty

Inside the cruise

And free KARAOKE!
Later, drop by at the nearby funfair. But didn't play anything, quite expensive i.e one game RM10 person. Its better to pay RM50 at Genting Highland for unlimited rides though.
